Rowing Technique:

Catch - Positioned at the front of the machine, ready to initiate force production through the feet. Hands grip the handle with thumbs around it, aligned with shoulder width, and arms straight. Maintain a slight lean forward, ensuring the shoulders are just ahead of the hips.

Drive - The rowing stroke primarily engages the legs, followed by the hips and arms. Initiate the drive by extending the legs, pushing the body away from the front of the rower, similar to starting a deadlift. As the hands move past the feet, swing the hips back, transitioning the torso from an 11 o'clock to a 1 o'clock position. Complete the sequence by bending the arms to bring the handle toward the torso.

Finish and Recover - Conclude the stroke with firm, straight legs and a slight backward lean of the torso, opposite to the catch position. Position the hands just below the solar plexus at 1 o'clock, keeping shoulders relaxed with elbows close to the body. This phase completes the rowing stroke.
